Plagiarism???

I think when you copy word for word and entire verse & chorus of someone's song that is clearly plagiarism...

OK, with that overwith...

My questions to you..

1st question; Mr. Richard Marx had his first song written for Peter Pan Peanut Butter. He wrote & sang the jingle himself then when his voice changed they fired him for someone younger..

2nd question; Mr. Barry Manilow played Piano while the Divine Ms. M sang. Yes the singer he hated at first was Bette Midler, they have since become friends & have stopped bashing each other.

Cheater!!

Well that is a cool site but now I know to NEVER ask you any music trivia (Especially about the Beatles) because you'll cheat.

So I'll ask obscure stuff about Non-Beatle artists...

Lets start with easy stuff...

1st Richard Marx, he was a song writer before he was a performer. Who did he write his 1st song for (Think outside the box) ?

2nd Barry Manilow started as a piano player in a NYC bath house. Who was singing when he was playing and at the time he hated that singer claiming they had a terrible voice?

Ok, Sirah... your turn.

The inspiration for Michelle?

I thought everybody knew that...

Paul got the inspiration for this song from seeing French art students at a party, dressed in their berets and sporting beards. Paul wrote the song at first while sitting with Jane Asher on her sofa. He didn't originally have the name Michelle in the song that was John's idea.

What is saved?

So this has been a pet project for me for a while.

Here was the question I was asking people (Mostly students):

What does it mean to be save? What did you do to confirm being saved?

Now think about those questions for a minute. We all know God did the saving so I wasn't trying to trick or trip anybody. I wanted to know how you would state what you did to define being saved.

I have heard a lot of the comman "pat" answers like these:

1) I asked God to forgive me of my sins
2) I realized I was a sinner
3) I asked Jesus into my heart (What does this mean?)
4) I recognized Jesus as the son of God
5) I prayed to God
6) I came forward at Church/School/Event etc...
7) I accepted Jesus died for my sins
8) I know Jesus rose from the dead (And this effects us how? We can't stop here)
9) I accept Jesus as my savior (Nobody ever restates this sentence, this is the answer I get when I ask for more detail I get that deer in the headlights look)
The one I truly liked the most (Being serious here)
10) I gave my life to God because he gave his son for me (I think that puts it in perfect perspective)

So I wonder if I was asked this someday (Long after I did my little inquiry) I wonder if I would have a real understanding of what I was given & what I have done since.

I liked the idea & answer of giving our lives to God. It is not an easy thing & we fail often but if we keep that thought in mind I think we'd be more of what were supposed to be, Don't you?

This is just my opinion. I'd love to hear..
What do you think?

Now I know I'm not the biggest football fan

TRULY A DIE-HARD FAN! Bob receives a free ticket to the Super Bowl from his company. Unfortunately, when he gets to the stadium, he realizes his seat's in the the last row in the corner of the stadium. He is closer to the Goodyear Blimp than the field! A few moments later, Bob notices an empty seat 10 rows off the field on the 50-yard line. He decides to take a chance and walks all the way down, avoiding security guards to snatch the empty seat. As he sits down, he asks the guy next to him, "Excuse me, is anyone sitting here?" The man says, "No." Excited to be in such a great seat for the game, Bob shouts, "This is incredible! Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl and not use it?!" The man replies, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Super Bowl we haven't been to together since we got married in 1967." "That's really sad," said Bob, "but still, couldn't you find someone to take the seat? A relative or a close friend?" "No," the man replied, "they're all at the funeral."

They're NOT rated Arrrrrrrrr...

What's the pirate's wife's name? Peggy

RIGHT FOR THE JOB Looking for just the right employees? Try this simple personnel test. Take the job applicants and put them in a room with only a table and two chairs. Leave them alone for two hours, without any instruction. At the end of that time, go back and see what they are doing.
If they have taken the table apart, put them in engineering.
If they are counting the cigarette butts in the ashtray, assign them to finance.
If they are waving their arms and talking aloud, send them to consulting.
If they are talking to the chairs, personnel is a good spot for them.
If they are wearing green sunglasses and need a haircut, computer information systems is their niche.
If the room has a sweaty odor, perhaps they're destined for the help desk.
If they mention the good price for the table and chairs, put them in purchasing.
If they mention that hardwood furniture does not come from rain forests, public relations would suit them well.
If they are sleeping, they are management material.
If they are writing up the experience, send them to the technical writing team.
If they don't even look up when you enter the room, assign them to security.
If they try to tell you it's not as bad as it looks, send them to marketing.

Hmmm, How did I get my job??
