End of The Spear

In 1956, five American missionaries to Ecuador were brutally speared to death by a savage Stone Age tribe of Indians known as the Aucas. Two years later, the wife and sister of two of the murdered missionaries walked into the jungle to live with the same people who had murdered the men they loved.

Sounds almost like a Hollywood story and a book about revenge. Well it's neither & both. It is now a movie and a book and it's all true. The movie is called "The End of The Spear", the book is called "Beyond The Gates of Splendor". Well I have been lucky enough to see the movie BEFORE it premieres in January (The 50'th anniversary of the "Palm Beach" event). I also have been lucky enough to get a preview pack for the documentary. I have encouraged my church to have a movie night & it is happening.

We are having a free movie night on Friday Dec 2nd, 2005. We will see the trailer for the upcoming full length feature film & we will watch the documenary full of actual footage. It will touch you in many ways & I hope God is fully glorified by the retelling of this story.

Bring friends, bring family, bring enemies & strangers. Everybody needs to see this story!

See you there..
