When did it become cool for Christians to act & talk like the world.

Ever heard these statements before

It’s always Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
or
I don’t want you pushing God down my throat
or
What’s wrong with what I’m doing? I’m a good person
and my favorite
That’s good for you I’m glad you believe that but it’s not the same for me

The crazy thing is, these statements often come from those who call themselves believers.

Well

As I said before Truth isnt relative. People have believed lies all throughout history & torn apart countries based on these false beliefs. I’m not saying anyone is out to tear down a country but these foolish thoughts (And actions based on those thoughts) are tearing apart families and the church body.

I know of at least 5 families in our church who are dealing with such issues from their children right now.

So if they are truly believers then they should know what Gods word says about such stupid thoughts & wicked actions.

Lets look at a few:

Romans 8:7
7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.

2 Timothy 3:4
4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

God also talks about those who listen & follow his guidance.

Acts 2:39
39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself."

Colossians 3:20
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

Acts 5:29
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.

So what do you do. Or what conclusion can you come to when a person claims to be a believer yet tells you that God's word & the idea of God's son offends them??

Stay Strong :

Galatians 6:9
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up

"Stick to your guns if you believe in somethin no matter why cause it's better to be hated for who you are then be loved for who your not"
- Van Zandt
